To prepare every eligible youth in the Chattahoochee Council service area to become responsible, participating citizens and leaders guided by the Scout Oath and Law.
 

Our Mission

As commissioners, we share the BSA’s mission: To prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
 

Our Objectives

• Build and train a sustainable Commissioner Cabinet that provides all units with a single, best resource.
• Ensure S.A.F.E. programs.
  • S – Supervision (is there enough?)
  • A – Assessment (risk mitigated?)
  • F – Fitness & Skill (is it safe / suitable for all participants?)
  • E – Equipment and Environment (are they appropriate for the activity?)
• Enable significant, sustainable growth.

Who are our Commissioners?

There are three types of Commissioners:

• Council and District Commissioners are responsible for the commissioner staff.
• Unit Commissioners provide support to multiple units.
• Roundtable Commissioners provide monthly supplemental training to units.
