We need your help to recognize and award the most deserving adult Scouting Volunteers/Leaders from across the Chattahoochee Council.
The nomination forms may request information that you may not have. If you want to nominate someone for these awards, complete the application using the information that is available to you and submit it to the council using the instructions below. Please be sure to provide adequate commentary for the selection committee to consider your nominee.

All nominations MUST be received by the council office for consideration and review by the nominating committees. Nomination forms are available at the Council Service Center or from the links below. Please save a copy of the completed application and any supporting materials for your records. Submitted applications will not be returned.
Silver Beaver The Silver Beaver Award is a council-level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America. Nominees for this award should be active, registered Scouters who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the Chattahoochee Council at the council level.
Council Alumni Award The Council Alumnus Award is presented to Scouting alumni who, over a sustained period of time, have used the skills and values they learned through their association with Scouting, to make significant and long-lasting contributions to their local communities through their careers, avocations, and/or Scouting. A BSA alumnus includes anyone positively and personally impacted by the BSA such as former Scouts, volunteers past and present, family members of Scouts past and present, and community leaders. Nominees are not required to be Eagle Scouts, active in Scouting, or registered Scouters.
District Award of Merit The District Award of Merit is a prestigious award given by the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) to recognize adult volunteers who provide exceptional service to the Scouting program at the district level. It is the highest honor a local district can bestow upon a volunteer.
Elbert K. Fretwell - Outstanding Educator Award
The Elbert K. Fretwell Outstanding Educator Award is presented to those that improve students' lives by proactively modeling and teaching Scouting values. The award may be presented to teachers, educational support staff, and school administrators who stand out from their professional peers in instilling Scouting Values for students. This Award is intended to recognize non-scouting educators, who are nominated through the local council.
DESA Distinguished Eagle Scout Award (NOESA)
The Distinguished Eagle Scout Award is the National Eagle Scout Association’s highest recognition. The Award was established to recognize Eagle Scouts who, after 25 years or longer of having received the Eagle Scout Award, have reached the highest national level of success in their field. In addition, these recipients have demonstrated a strong record of volunteer leadership service to their community.
NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout Award (NOESA)
The nominees for NOESA should be leaders of the community whose achievements outside of Scouting have touched and inspired others. This includes individuals who have had a positive, long-term impact as cornerstones of the community and individuals who have attained prominence at the state or regional level in their profession or avocation. Nominees must have earned the Eagle Scout rank, but are not required to be active, or a registered Scouter. Refer to the eligibility requirements included with the application.
