
NRA Basic Shotgun Certification and NRA Shotgun Instructor
with Basic Instructor Training (BIT)
NRA Basic Shotgun course teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude for the safe and proper use of a shotgun in shooting a moving target.
NRA Shotgun Instructor Certification teaches prospective instructors how to conduct an NRA Shotgun Shooting course and how to teach shotgun shooting at the basic level.
Basic Instructor Training (BIT) is designed to develop NRA Certified Instructors who possess the knowledge skills and attitude necessary to conduct NRA Basic Firearm training courses. BIT is required for all discipline specific Instructor training.
Must have 4 registrants to put on course, registration must be complete by March 7, 2025.
There is a limit to 25 participants for the shotgun course, you must be 15 years of age or older to take NRA Shotgun Instructor course. This is not a merit badge course.

Check-in for Shotgun Instructor starts Friday at 5 - 6pm EST; Class starts promptly at 6pm
Shotgun Instructor course starts 6pm Friday through Sunday at 3pm.
Registration fees will provide program materials, meals and a bunk in the bunkhouse
